| Alan Jackson, and his wife Denise
were extended the honor of naming the
shelter.
Newnan,
Ga. is Alan's hometown and the
shelter was of special
interest to him. He not
only held a special concert in
the hometown football stadium
to raise funds for the
construction of the shelter,
he also donated a Corvette
which when raffled off raised
$100,000. He recently
auctioned off one of his
shirts to raise more funds for
the shelter.
Alan and Denise
decided on the name "Angel's House."
In a statement they explained, "Our prayer for each child is that heavenly and earthly angels will surround them and protect them at this facility and they will feel truly safe and secure."
